Policies & FAQ
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Thank you for choosing Hillcrest Hideaway for your massage and wellness needs! My goal is to provide a relaxing and professional experience for every client. To ensure smooth scheduling and fairness for all, I have a few important policies in place.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Your appointment time is set aside just for you. As a small business owner, I rely on scheduled appointments to support my family, and last-minute cancellations make it difficult to fill open spots.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be charged the full session cost. No-shows will also be charged the full session cost and may need to prepay for future appointments.
I completely understand that life happens! If you experience an emergency, please reach out as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
Late Arrivals
I respect your time, and I ask that you respect mine as well. If you arrive late, I’ll do my best to provide the most effective session possible in the remaining time, but the full session fee still applies.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by calling [Business Phone] or using my online booking system.
Inappropriate Behavior Policy
Hillcrest Hideaway is a professional and safe space for relaxation and healing. Any inappropriate behavior, including suggestive comments, gestures, or requests, will result in immediate termination of the session with full payment due. Future appointments will be denied, and if necessary, I will report the incident to local authorities.
Draping Policy
Professional draping is always used for your comfort and privacy. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Massage Purpose
My services are designed for relaxation and muscle tension relief. If anything feels uncomfortable during your session, please let me know so I can adjust.
Medical Conditions
It’s important to share any health conditions before your session. I can’t be responsible for issues caused by undisclosed medical conditions, so please keep me updated on any changes to your health.
Disclaimer: I am a licensed massage therapist specializing in relaxation and therapeutic bodywork. My services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare. I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or provide medical treatment. If you have any health concerns, please consult with a physician or qualified healthcare provider.
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these policies.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is Hillcrest Hideaway located?
Hillcrest Hideaway is a home-based massage studio, but it is in a separate area at the backside of my home in Nixa. When you arrive, please park in my driveway near the basketball goal. You’ll see a walking path leading to the entrance of the massage studio.
What should I do when I arrive?
Since there is no waiting area, I kindly ask that you remain in your vehicle until I call or text you to come inside. Once inside, I’ll greet you at the door, show you to the massage room, and go over any final forms before we begin your session.
What if I’ve never had a massage before?
No worries at all! I’ll guide you through the process and make sure you feel completely comfortable. Before we begin, I’ll explain what to expect and answer any questions you may have. You are always in control of your session, and your comfort is my priority.
I have anxiety—will this be a good experience for me?
Absolutely! Hillcrest Hideaway is designed to be a safe, calming space where you can fully relax. If you have any specific concerns or preferences (such as needing more time to settle in, quiet surroundings, or a weighted blanket), just let me know.
Can I bring my child with me?
Yes! I understand that childcare isn't always an option. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out before booking!
Do I need to shave my legs or have perfect feet before my appointment?
Not at all! I promise, I do not judge. Massage is about relaxation and self-care, not appearance. Whether you have hairy legs, funny toenails, or dry skin—none of it matters. My only concern is helping you feel better.
What should I wear?
During a full-body massage, you will undress to your comfort level. You’ll be fully covered with a sheet at all times, except for the area I’m working on.
Do I have to talk during the massage?
Only if you want to! Some people enjoy chatting, while others prefer silence to fully relax. This is your time, and I’ll follow your lead.
Can I request a specific pressure or focus area?
Yes! Before we begin, we’ll discuss your needs and preferences, including pressure level and any problem areas. Feel free to speak up at any time during your session if you’d like adjustments.
What if I feel uncomfortable at any time?
Your comfort is my top priority. If anything doesn’t feel right—whether it’s pressure, positioning, temperature, or anything else—please speak up. I will make any adjustments necessary to ensure you feel safe and at ease.
Do you accept walk-ins or same-day appointments?
No, I do not accept walk-ins or same-day appointments. All sessions are by appointment only, so please schedule in advance to secure your preferred time.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book your appointment online on our website. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out!
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. This allows me to offer the appointment to another client.
I have a medical condition—can I still get a massage?
Most medical conditions are perfectly fine for massage, but some may require modifications or a doctor’s approval. If you have concerns, please reach out ahead of time, and we can discuss your specific needs.
